Historical Olde World Canterbury Village displays a wealth of worldly treasures. As it was developed by Stan Aldridge and his family, they included an outstanding array of artifacts and antiques collected from their world wide travels.
Antique windows, doors and paneling strategically placed during the restoration and construction process of Olde World Canterbury Village and Canterbury Castle Banquet Center are now beautiful additions to this extraordinary Michigan experience.
One of the Village's most spectacular stained glass windows is an original Tiffany called Wisteria. It is located in Antiques and Things.
The Kings Court Castle Restaurant & Banquet Facility, built with olde world style craftsmanship, is rich in luxurious quality and ornate furnishings. Stan Aldridge specially designed the restaurant to enhance the integrity and ambiance of Olde World Canterbury Village.
Special features of The Kings Court Castle Restaurant & Banquet Facility include oak paneling and carvings from France, European armor, swords, tapestries, a stained glass window from Scotland, an antique fire place from England and the chandelier from the famed Michigan Theater.
The Canterbury Clock Tower, with all the charm of a Dicken's Christmas, chimes on the hour and the half hour. Further along the path at Olde World Canterbury Village, shoppers will find a beautiful reproduction of a 19th century German Carousel. It is housed inside the Canterbury Pavilion and delights children year round. The village hosts a wide variety of festivals throughout the year. See our schedule of events for dates and times.
There is always something for everyone to enjoy at Olde World Canterbury Village.
